Recon Class Guide
Role: Marksman & battlefield intel
Signature Weapons: Snipers & DMRs (SVD, SV98, Mosin)
What the Recon Track Does
Recon turns information into kills for the whole team. The track pairs marksmen rifles with enemy marking — spotting vehicles and infantry across the 2×2 km Control Zone so your team's artillery, vehicles and riflemen fight an enemy that is already visible. On 256 km² maps, the team that sees farther wins more zones.
Signature Weapons and Unlocks
The SVD ($4,800) is the track's workhorse: 55 base damage, 480 RPM semi-auto, and a torso multiplier that rewards placement over spam. The SV98 and the Mosin Nagant cover the bolt-action purists, while the AMR 50 ($8,800) is the endgame statement — a .50 cal that hits for 107 base damage and weighs 12.5 kg. The "Long Shot" achievement (3% unlock rate) belongs to Recon: a kill from over 950 meters.
How to Play Recon
Fight the map, not the objective. Take overwatch positions that cover the Control Zone's approach routes, mark everything that moves, and let the info do the damage before you take a shot. Every bullet you fire gives away your position — Recon players who shoot first and mark second feed the enemy team their location for free.
Progression Priorities
Level the track toward optics and the DMR you prefer before chasing the AMR 50 — a $8,800 rifle on a $10,000 balance is a one-life gamble. Community consensus ranks Recon as the most position-dependent track: spend early cash on map knowledge (and a parachute habit) instead of the most expensive rifle.
